AGD Fellowship Award
The AGD Fellowship Award (FAGD) is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in their profession. To earn this prestigious honor, a dentist must complete 500 hours of continuing dental education and pass a 4-5 hour comprehensive written exam. There are roughly 6,500 “fellows” in the U.S., but only 4-5 percent of practicing dentists are fellows.
Academy of Laser Dentistry Fellowship
World Clinical Laser Institute Fellowship
Dr. Latha also has a fellowship with the Academy of Laser Dentistry and the World Clinical Laser Institute. For both of these, she had to pass multiple tests, complete 50+ hours in laser continuing education, and present two patient cases to the board of different types of laser treatments for the board’s approval.
